1. General Agreement

By booking an appointment with Happy Hounds the client agrees to the following terms and conditions. These ensure the safety, health, and well-being of your pet and our staff.

2. Pet Health & Behaviour

• All pets must be up to date on vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and Bordetella).
• Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues (e.g., aggression, anxiety).
• Happy Hounds reserves the right to refuse service if a pet shows signs of illness or aggressive behaviour.

3. Matted Coats

• Severely matted coats may require shaving for the animal’s comfort and safety.
• Shaving may reveal underlying skin conditions.
• Happy Hounds is not liable for any cuts, nicks, or irritation due to mat removal.

4. Parasites

• Pets with fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner's expense.
• A cleaning fee may apply if fleas are discovered during the grooming session.

5. Accidents

• While every effort is made to ensure your pet’s safety, grooming equipment can cause injury if a pet moves suddenly.
• In the rare event of an accident, the owner will be contacted immediately.

6. Cancellations & No-Shows

• Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
• No-shows or late cancellations may be charged a fee of £20.00.
• Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future services.

7. Late Pick-Up

• Pets must be picked up within 30 minutes of notification.
• A late fee of £15.00 may apply for delayed pick-ups.

8. Photographs

• Happy Hounds may take photos of your pet before, during, or after grooming for promotional use (e.g., website, social media), unless you request otherwise.

9. Payment

• Payment is due at time of service.
• Accepted forms of payment: cash, credit card.

10. Liability

• The owner agrees not to hold Happy Hounds, its employees, or agents liable for any injury, death, or illness arising from grooming services, unless due to negligence.
